But since the 1990s, doctors and therapists have recognized the importance of staying. Active is the best way to relieve back pain and prevent it from recurring. After my back surgery, my surgeon advised me to start exercising immediately. The exercise he recommended was walking. As important as exercise is, you must do the right exercises. Here is a list of exercises to avoid and exercises to do to relieve back pain and strengthen muscles.

Exercises to avoid:

First, use common sense. Start and increase as your body adjusts to the exercise.

Avoid any activity that involves positions or movement. That could cause further injury and pain. Activities like tennis, golf, and baseball involve quick turns. Movements that are likely to cause problems for your back.

Yoga: While some yoga poses can be part of your recovery plan, many poses should avoid.

Long periods of sitting: No, this is not exercise, but it should avoid. If you sit a lot, make sure your chair is designed to give you proper support. Don't sit for more than an hour at a time without getting up, walking around, and stretching.

Exercises to perform:

First, it's a good idea to use a trainer or therapist to show you the correct technique. Doing the right exercise for your back with the wrong technique. Is as sure to injure you as doing the wrong exercise.

The exercises you want to focus on are those that will strengthen your abs, legs, back, and gluts.

Walking: Find a good supportive walking shoe and choose a flat trail.

Swimming: If you have access to a swimming pool. Is one of the best exercises you can do because jumping in the water takes the pressure off your back.

Pelvic Raises and Abdominal Curls. These exercises perform lying flat on your back with your knees bent.

Stretching: Like all exercises, there are good and bad stretches. And as I mentioned earlier proper technique is essential.

Smart Disc Problems

Problems with the vertebral disc are very painful. They haunt you with excruciating and shooting pain. A vertebral is a plate or disk of cartilage and fiber that contains the nucleus pulpous, a mass of white elastic fiber at its center located between the vertebrae or bones of the spine. Most patients with a degenerative disc will periodically experience continuous tolerable pain followed by increasing intensity of pain that will ...
